YouTube: From the Ridiculous to the Sublime

As many of you know, I am by no means a YouTube junkie. In fact, long-time readers may remember that I have only posted one YouTube video in all my years of blogging. I only post videos when they are really worth watching! Well, I've come across another that's worth your time. You'll laugh - I promise. Here it is: Rob Paravonian's Pachelbel Rant.

And if you're in the mood for something more serious, here's a video of a really excellent kid (now an adult, actually) singing 'Es Ist Vollbracht' ('It Is Accomplished') from the Bach St. John Passion. Enjoy. It's very beautifully and maturely performed. The soloist is Panajotis Iconomou.

  1. The young boy singing is incredible, my children stood in amazment as they listened to him. You know Sarah, I've been meaning to ask you if you could recommend someone to me that would teach my children violin? All 3 of them want to learn.

Let me know if you could by emailing me, thanks.

  2. The first time I heard the Vienna Boys Choir live (Carnegie Hall of all places) I thought I had died and gone to heaven. If I ever have children, they're going to be boys, and they're all going to be boy sopranos. The voices of highly trained young boys the most golden, most unearthly, most beautiful sound I've ever heard.

So yes, good posting choice. :)
